Casino Royale Planet Ocean - with pics!

After 14 seconds thought (and a bit of convincing with 'her indoors'!), I bought this 2900.50.91/2200.50.00 SS/rubber combo today.

I bought the SS version but the AD was good enough to also let me have the rubber strap off their 007 Limited edition PO - rather than have to order and wait for it. The SS bracelet is fine of course but I like to have at least two options when I buy a watch. :)

To say I'm chuffed to bits with this fine watch is the understatement of the century! I'm sure you'll agree, it's a stunner.

I took some pics to celebrate - including a 'beach setup' with Mr Craig's Persol sunglasses also as used in Casino Royale.

Bond Seamaster 300 M Chronometer also from Casino Royale can be found here.

Enjoy! :-!

Wow, I'm humbled by your photographic skills, Eagle; I could just about feel the texture of the metal on that shot of the clasp.

Congratulations! You've made a fine choice. That's one thing about Breitling owners, they sure got taste!

The Omega Planet Ocean Big Size is definitely in the same ranks as the Breitlings and I am lovin' my 007 PO Limited Edition.

I give props to your AD as well for allowing the swap. :-!

It's now emerging that the sunglasses used in the movie were the ones with the brown lenses...

Really? After seeing your pics, I went out and bought a pair with grey lenses. IMO they look better with the grey, as it goes with the frames more.

'fraid so. Persol have now put it in black and white on their website.

The shade wore by James Bond is option 834/33 which particularly sets off the personality of this model, with brown lenses and a gunmetal grey satin metal frame.
There's been a lot of confusion over this and for a time we (collectors) were sure it was the grey.

See here also (scroll right down) http://www.jamesbondlifestyle.com/index_accessories.php?m=ac&g=ac010

I'm happy with the grey/green though myself - I doubt I'd wear brown anyway. b-)
