I don't know what it is, but its starting to look like a sick watch. When it was first released, I didn't think much of it. But now when I am seeing some real life photos its making me melt.
Omega knocked this one out of park. I don't think they are unjust in their pricing either. At 20% less discount its almost half the price of a sub and is every bit as good a watch, if not better. That lumed bezel, WOW!

I like the watch. I don’t even mind the marker color. To me it is not “Fauxtina” it is simply orange colored markers. If it were simulating aged lume the bezel wouldn’t be orange also. I like it and don’t mind it. It’s different and it goes nicely with the “brownish” looking dial. That is my opinion.

My biggest problem with it is the price. I, like many here, feel it is way too expensive. It would be nice to have a bracelet also. In the end, I feel that it is a cool watch but it looses too many features that are cool while at the same time becoming way too expensive. Do this exercise. If I made you choose between this two watches and I told you they both cost the same, which one would you choose?

SMP 1: ceramic dial, ceramic bezel, enamel scale, sapphire case back, bracelet.

SMP 2: Aluminum dial, Aluminum bezel, lume paint scale, closed case back, no bracelet.

If both were the same price, I can pretty much guarantee that everybody would pick option 1. Am I wrong? What if I told you that SMP 1 was $1000 more expensive? Would you still choose option 1? I think most people here would still choose option 1. After all, it is what Omega and other brands have done to charge MORE for their watches for years now. Add ceramic bezel inserts and stuff like that to replace the metal inserts and consequently charge more for the watch. All of a sudden we have option two, which it is made in titanium sure but costs TWICE the price of option 1 while loosing all the other stuff. It actually boggles my mind a bit.

Way too expensive in my humble opinion. I think it will go down in price quickly. It should be priced closely to the regular SMP if you ask me. You are loosing many upgrades and gaining titanium plus the fact that it is a “limited” edition. Or special edition since it is not numbered.

Not being a limited edition is a good thing so it'll be easily available. Don't pay full price and just wait for an AD to have it then get it at a discount.

Even at 20% off, in the uk that amounts to £5912. The steel 300m on bracelet would be £3336 and for interests sake a Submariner MSRP is £6300. As much as the Bond edition is growing on me, a steel 300m on rubber strap would most likely be my choice. However I will reserve judgement until I see it in the metal.

Nope. It will be available to anyone as part of the regular collection until its replaced by the next Bond watch when that is released in 2024/5.
Thanks. Seems to be no reason to buy this at retail price then. I could get the Nato version right now, but they won't discount at all. I've been out of the Omega game for a bit since the Spectre launch, not sure if you can still get them at a 20% discount through grey or not. Wish Continental Jewelers was still around. I've got the other Daniel Craig special editions, Casino Royale, QoS, Skyfall, and Spectre.

Love this one. However, I wish it had a regular titanium seamaster bracelet. I like the mesh, but I know I'd never get a perfect fit with that clasp.

Even owning the pelagos LHD, I could see myself adding this with the right bracelet.

It still hasn’t arrived at the local Boutique. Supposedly it arrives this week and they will call me “as soon as it touches down” they said . So I can go and see it. The ones that are arriving are already sold but they want me to see it before the owners come pick it up. I think I am really going to like it but will reserve my final judgment for when I see it personally. I still feel it is too expensive for what it is (personal opinion). We will see. Oh and I do get a discount on it so it is possible to get one. This obviously will change form place to place. They are all sold so it would be on a future piece.

I went into 2 AD’s today and they both claimed that these were indeed limited edition and limited production numbers and that they were only able to source the couple they sold already and wouldn’t be able to get anymore. I still don’t buy it. Same AD two different locations, the one AD had the nerve to tell me I needed to qualify to purchase. WTF is that? I’ve heard of that with Rolex, but Omega, come on...I know of one location near me with the strap version available. I like the strap but I want the bracelet and strap. I also don’t want to pay sales tax and not get a discount.

Someone get me down off the ledge, I for some reason am considering paying retail + tax for the NATO variant. I just need to distract myself.

I went in to the Omega boutique on Regent St in London yesterday and tried it on. It's sublime, especially with the titanium strap. Asked when is it formally released to but & sales guy said I could buy that one there & then if wanted. Didn't but hoping to place order for mine this week

Sorry. As much as I would like to I’m going to suggest the following. DO IT, DO IT. Then post pictures. Might keep me off that ledge.

I've put down a deposit on the NATO version from an AD, should have it by the time the movie comes it. I will order the bracelet separately.
