Bought on eBay. Seller didn't know exactly what he had.

Has a Sinn leather band but I bought a rubber strap so I can safely get my watch wet.

Not flashy...very understated but crisp.

I think people have different definitions of flashy... To me this SHINES! Wow, great watch... I could without the UTC, didn't know what he had, suggests a great deal, congrats!!!

I do not consider this watch to be "flashy" mainly because it has a matte finish and its dark coloration blends in with your clothing.

I think this is a rather handsome watch and very subtle but not "flashy."

Of course, for those who know of it and the model, they know the quality of it.

Had there not been such a great price on this, I would have chosen its shiny steel brother model instead.

I'm not really sure how I stumbled upon Sinn but I am happy with the watch and the UTC feature, for me, just adds a little bit of subtle interest to an otherwise somber face.

I hate the Sinn leather band it came with and why have a watch like this if you can't get it wet so I ordered a Roma stitched rubber band:

Here is the watch:

Great, no-nonsense Sinn.

Whenever someone asks me about a watch that personifies Sinn, the trusted, dependable 103 Ti Ar UTC and its 103 Ti UTC TESTAF successor spring to mind.
I own both and wouldn't want to miss them.

Other Sinn models may be more in the limelight now, but this one is a true classic.

Congrats on the purchase!

I have the 103 St Sa and although the case is polished, I had the watch serviced recently and had them brush the entire bracelet. Looks great now. Flashy to me are diamonds, gold etc.

the brushed finish looks great, did Sinn do it?
I had the servicing done in Portland and they re-brushed the bracelet for me as I had already brush finished it myself prior. I received it looking almost brand new if it wasn't for the bezel insert showing a little wear. They even buffed out marks on the case. I think it's a great look as a polished bracelet shows marks very quickly IMO.

Great buy chabanais! I was watching that same one, just couldn't pull the trigger with two other purchases on the way.

Thanks! I saw the first auction where it was a fixed price for $2,200 and I knew it would never sell for that considering the lack of research the seller had done. When the ad was re-listed, still with a lack of informaiton, I had hope to buy it for under $1,400.

I like the watch - it is growing on me - I just wish it was shiny.

In all honesty I only bought it because it is a superior model to the 103 St Sa I had originally decided to buy and I had only learned about this model a week before.

The amazingly light weight is probably my favorite feature - and the yellow second time zone hand - followed by the "count down" bezel that I can use to time my laundry!

This photo is why I was attracted to the Sinn so it is ironic mine is a matte finish:

If you find a polished version you like better, you can always sell me your matte version.
