First time I've posted a thread, so be gentle. I've seen some recommendations on adjusting bracelets (specifically dive bracelets with the diver's extension) in the past, but I thought I'd provide a little knowledge and hopefully help someone out on the site. I own several Seiko divers, including the OM, BFK, and 007. For all of them I've been able to get what I feel is a perfect fit- snug without feeling restrictive, loose enough to give me some room without being floppy. The one exception has been the BFK. It has a huge, beefy bracelet. I ended up taking off fewer links for it and had removed an even amount from each side. As a result, the diver's extension was pretty squarely under my wrist and had a lot of slop. If I tightened the micro-adjustment, it was just a tad too snug.
What I ended up doing was moving one link from the 6 o'clock to the 12 o'clock side. This had the effect of moving up the diver's extension so it now hits right where my wrist turns. The extra slop is gone and it now fits great! Here's a pic to show you what I mean:
And of course the gratuitous watch shot we all love:
Finally, another recommendation I read on another thread- if the diver's extension is digging into your wrist, try turning the bracelet around "backwards". This usually brings the pressure off the wrist and can make a world of difference.
I hope that helps someone! Feel free to post your own suggestions! :-! Thanks WUS!
