I almost always pick strap given a choice, but not this time. Bracelet.

 

I have this Speedmaster and I HATE the looks of the bracelet....very 1985 IMHO, however I do not like that strap.
I have tried countless straps and spent about $4-500 on different bracelets but I still keep coming back to the original bracelet, which I do not like????
I might end up dumping the watch, or not.
As much as it pains me, keep it on the bracelet.

 

Buy with bracelet and swap to strap or nato as the mood hits.

 

For me, the strap's colour doesn't work, so the bracelet it is.

Both.

 

I switch it up on my speedmaster, bracelet sometimes and strap othertimes. Oddly I usually don't wear bracelets but the speedy bracelet is about the only one that actually fits my wrist well.

 

The black strap that comes with the watch looks great as does the bracelet. Coin toss to me. Wear them both.🤷‍♂️

Agreed - I wore mine for 8 years on the OEM bracelet (pre 3861) and loved it. Love it even more on a plethora of straps I've worn it on the last 2-3 years

I definitely agree that you can squeeze a lot of character out of the watch given the right strap(s)

 

Can’t go wrong with either a strap, bracelet, nato, etc on the speedy. I do however revert back to the bracelet every now and then. It’s my 1st configuration option for the speedy.

I usually prefer straps, but there's something about that one that doesn't work for me. What's the make and model?

 

I keep mine on a strap, specifically the Omega nylon one at the moment. But I also think the Speedy looks absolutely perfect on distressed leather, accentuating the vintage style.

The Speedmaster, like most wristwatches, look better on leather than on a bracelet. The only exception is a Rolex watch on a "Jubilee" bracelet.

 

I generally prefer a brown leather strap but also like the black sailcloth it came with. I haven’t tried a bracelet yet.

 

Literally any strap would work.

 

I like mine on a brown leather strap the majority of the time.

I also like it on the nylon strap that was on it when I purchased it.

I haven’t tried it on a bracelet yet but looking at options.

Both look good on your wrist.

I've got the Hesalite version. I love changing straps on my watches, however, I have never taken the bracelet off my Speedmaster and don't plan on doing it anytime soon. This watch belongs on the bracelet.
