Breitling has been making their own in-house chronograph movements since 2009, with several variations added since then. If you are referring to an in-house three hand movement it was mentioned that development would be too expensive for the number of models it would be used in. This was one of the reasons they went with Tudor's movement.

 

Also in one of his last Youtube videos he mention this as well… glad its confirmed now.

 

Good news on both of those points....now they just need to add a micro adjustment to the navitimer and the chronomat bracelets. All bracelets at that price point should have a micro adjustment in the clasp. I sold my navitimer and chronomat for this reason. Loved the watches, couldn't get the perfect fit and I wanted both on the bracelet.

Any word if the new movement will have a high magnetic resistance (silicon escapement)?

 

To increase water-resistance, you don't alter the movement, you alter the case.
I wish Breitling improved their movements the way Tudor did.... use silicon.

Yes, Breitling need three hand in house movement, with improve specs (longer power reserve, high magnetic resistance, etc.). Also traveler GMT.
