Hi!

I've desided to buy a Breitling Emergency, yellow dial, titanium. My question is where is the best place to buy it (read chepest). I'm thinking about traveling to Singapore just to pick one up. They are aproximately 6580USD in my home (Sweden) and I'm hoping that I could get one in Singapore for around 4500USD. Currently the american dollar is quite low so I wonder if its any idea buying one in USA?

Really apprechiate any thought or ideas conserning this "trip & watch buy"!

Thank you.

Ok, I've posted it in the Breitling brand forum. Do you want me to delete this thread?

Just to let you know you can probably get them cheaper now because the Emergency frequency will be changing. I belive the Emergency Brietlings will be changing as well as to have the new freq.

You might want to do a search or ask on the Brietling forum before you buy if the emergency freq is your main reason for purchasing.

Let me clarify: There will still be the current freq. 121.5 for emergencies but they are adding a higher freq. to quell the false alarms and will give a longer range 3m vs. 1m I believe.

Another point is that I understand that 121.5 can take up to 45 minutes for the correct satellite to passover whereas 406 less than 5 minutes. 406MHz covers the entire globe, 121.5 does not.
