Slipping behind the wheel of a Bentley to get away from SIHH for a moment, Breitling for Bentley has created a 500-piece limited edition chronograph to celebrate the launch of the Bentley Continental Supersports, the fastest Continental ever built, the pinnacle of Bentley's celebrated tourers. The car can achieve a top speed of 209 mph, a 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds, and extreme agility combined with refinement and luxurious ride quality.

Drawing inspiration from the world of supercars, the B55 Chronograph features a sturdy and light titanium case framing a carbon fiber dial, the chronograph is an exclusive version of its connected B55 electronic caliber enriched with functions tailor-made for the automobile universe.

Thanks to a new connective philosophy in which the smartphone is dedicated to serving the watch, owners enjoy the full benefit of the phone's optimal user friendliness when performing certain adjustments. Conversely, they can upload the results of certain measurements from the chronograph to the smartphone as well as receiving notifications.

The two ultra-legible LCD (liquid crystal display) screens are equipped with a backlighting system that can be activated by pressing the crown or simply tilting the wrist. A compendium of performance, in tribute to the fastest Continental ever built.

In addition to the flyback chronograph, lap timer and electronic tachymeter, the B55 "Racing" caliber features three additional chronograph functions:

"Chrono rally" can record up to 30 stages, complete with the departure date of the rally, the start time and duration of each stage, as well as intermediate times for each stage,
while adding in any penalties incurred.

"Chrono race" is designed for track races. The user can record the split times for each lap and calculate the average speed per lap.

"Regularity rally" is used in competitions where the objective is to cover a given distance in a given time. This function enables the wearer to pre-define target times or intermediate times out of a total time, and then check at the press of a button whether the goal is being achieved.

As well as lap times and rally stages, the watch offers dual timezones, up to seven daily alarms, perpetual calendar and is water resistant to 100m.

The Breitling for Bentley partnership dates back to 2003 with the launch of the Continental GT, for which Breitling designed the dashboard clock. Several mechanical chronographs have been created over the past 13 years to coincide with major launches from the car maker.
