Hello guys

Does anyone know where I can get the speaker sticker on a case back?

I got a Screwback full case as a part but as you see no speaker

When I attach and hold the back plate from the 5600e and push the button it beeps

When I screw the case back it doesn't
Tried to remove the sticker but no luck
It brakes in small pieces
Even after heating with a hairdryer

i contact casio service at my country and they told me that this is not sold as a spare, it comes with the backplate, or caseback
Can anyone help ?

Thanks in advance !

Re: Help with a built project. Need a speaker for Screwback

Unfortunately, no. :-(

Casio's "tape/adhesive" is just that -- two-sided tape cut at the factory to a specific shape, usually used to temporarily attach G-Shock pieces together during assembly. Casio often uses it to, say, hold an inner bezel in place to make installing an outer bezel easier, and to keep the inner bezel from falling on the floor if the outer one is removed when servicing the watch.

Re: Help with a built project. Need a speaker for Screwback

Is there a certain current that the speaker needs to draw in order to work?
For these it is very low voltage. More important is that is an oscillating voltage or it won't make a sound but that is taken care of by the watch circuitry. The oscillating voltage causes the disc to flex thus making the sound.

Actually the ceramic disc that makes the sound will also make a spark if squeezed or hit, used to light lighters that don't use a flint.

So here is my obvious question then. If the module sends a current to the alarm spring, will the charge ignite the ceramic speaker causing it to spark?

No, it would need to be struck or squeezed to emit a spark of electricity. Oscillating voltage causes it to move and make a sound just like a regular speaker does.

I found this to explain it;

Help with a built project. Need a speaker for Screwback

The bad news is that I did not found what I was looking for in the store

The good news is that I remember I had somewhere an old FLUKE multimeter
Those devises that beep in some modes, and thought it must have something like this on it

So I took out the box with the things I do not use but is good to have around for spares

Open it up
And I could not believe my luck !!!
2cm piezo buzzer in

Gentlemen I have a fully functional Dw5030c from parts

also, for reference
i asked that ebay seller and the functional voltage is 1,5V up to 30V

i ll order some, now that i know that works !

Depends of where you live and how you want to do it.
I got a used 5600 for the module
Also two friends helped me from US , and since the parts were in two different orders, I payed twice the postage plus twice the postage to get to me in Greece.

You can check from pacparts what you want and calculate the cost
It s very easy

If you do it give us an update

Merry Christmas to you all

Surely I will post some pictures Giorgos. I already placed my order at pacparts for the body parts (center casing, including buttons) and 4 bezel screws. Now, I am looking for an old DW-5600E. If I can't find an old DW-5600e until my order from Pacparts comes, I will buy a new DW-5600EG.
