My wife has decided a Omega Seamaster Is her next watch, has anyone been able to get a discount in Singapore compared to Australia thanks to.

Grey sets come for about 20% less. AD probably gives 5%.

Mine cost €5,800 in Italy, at a multi-brand AD in 2022. After some negotiations I got it for €5,000... I don't know about Australia or Singapore, but in Europe at multi-brand AD the discounts are more significant (often 15%) than at AD that only sell Omega (even if it seems that lately Omega wants to favor AD that only sell Omega). As I know that our Australian friends travel a lot in Europe, it might be worth taking advantage of a possible trip to the old continent... ;)

Shop second hand. Really the only point of going AD is if you're building a relationship. If you're going to fly to another country to buy a watch then go gray for Omega Seamasters or private sales, you can save a buttload of money.

There are really no more bargains to be had on international products. If Omega watches were significantly cheaper in Singapore than in the USA, people would be buying the watches in Singapore and shipping them to the USA for sale.

...and then be charged tariffs at the port of entry

I think that buy pre-owned in Singapore won't give you the tax-fee option that you have buying new

Do your homework and shop around in Australia but if you want to buy a new watch , I think Singapore will give you an advantage both on price in the shop and the fact that you can claim sale tax as a foreign national (make sure the shop does this!)

There is a thread on reddit precisely on buying a Seamaster tax free at Singapore airport

I am not sure it is ok to give the link so you look for it yourself.
