Hi everybody
my name is Sam and i'm 31. I love watches, but right now i have only couple cheap ones couldn't afford nice ones yet. Looking to get one for less than $500, but can't decide what. I want Swiss or Japanese made. I like tissot and omega as a brand but orient and citizen are OK too. It should not be too big or heavy, I need solar power and day, date, battery level indicator. I found one what I might like (Citizen Attesa AT8040-57E Eco-Drive Solar Atomic Radio Perfex Multi 3000 Watch) and it is cost around $700, but couldn't find similar ones on tissot. Where and When better to buy it in US or from what website,....???
.....
thank you:)

Hi Sam,

Have you considered getting an automatic watch? Basically they are would by the movement of your arm and never needs a battery (it uses gears and springs, not electricity). $700 is a lot of money to spend on a citizen, but generally those can be found at department stores or on Amazon.

If you're interested in automatic watches, check out Seiko, Orient, Steinhart, Hamilton, Christopher Ward, Squale, and many more! What styles do you like?

Welcome to the forum.

I already have seiko 5 (automatic), if I don't use day and half it stops, now i just want something different, i just like the idea of solar power that's why want to check it and see difference, and the battery power level indicator one of new and cool stuff what I want to get on new watch. I checked citizen AT4010-51E today at macy's, but they don't have AT4010-50E which is same but titanium.
thank you
