Here’s a valuable insight into the thinking behind French brand Bell & Ross as discussed recently by B&R CEO Carlos Rosillo on Bloomberg. Bell & Ross was founded in 1992 by Carlos Rosillo and designer Bruno Belamich. Originally the watches were made by Sinn and looked similar to Sinn watches. Their relationship ended in 2002, when Bell & Ross began its own independent production in its facilities to La Chaux de Fonds. Today their watches are aimed at professionals including airmen, astronauts and divers.

The brand has four design principles, which are optimal water resistance, highly accurate Swiss mechanical movements, clear visual indicators, such as those found on aircraft instrument panels, and special functions intended for specific uses. Over the years their authentically designed historical military range of aviation watches has received a great deal of attention from collectors.
