Cartier Panthere Link Adjustment?

Recently purchased a Cartier panthere for my wife from a boutique. I tried to take a link out, but looks like the screws just spin freely (tried both counter and clockwise). How do you take them out? With my Rolexes/other screw based bracelets, I just screw them and they come right out.

If you decide to do this yourself, take a look at each blade and make sure it fits the screw as it should. Having a small sharpening stone around is a good idea, as well as a loupe or something that will give you a good look at what's in front of you. Much of what constitutes 'working on watches' is simply being able to see what's going on, close-up.

Though I’ve done lots of link changes, I don’t recommend doing this yourself.

Call into a Cartier AD and find out

1. If they have the right tools 2. Take a video/photos highlighting the condition beside a newspaper date to prove it’s recent 3. Have the AD do it for you which is usually free.

I mention #2 because I’ve had damage done by ADs and having proof photos resulted in them replacing affected screws and links.
