Thanks to Sjors help I was able to successfully change a battery on a 5600. :-! That surgery led me to the question about caseback gaskets in G-shocks. If I wanted to replace the gasket the time I change a batt. do I have to have a specific gasket for each particular model? Is a seal for the 5600E the same as the one for a Frogman, or G-2000 or DW-6900??? I'd think Casio would use the same parts for each since it's less tooling and work to make a "one size fits all" for gaskets...

Thanks for any info and insights!

some models are the same but some are different

i don't know if anybody has a list of which model shares the same gasket

you can always order the gasket by the exact model number :)

Do you know if Casio USA will sell them directly to customers? Would be nice to have a few sets on hand.
