Finally some better looking photos of the GW-9010. It's still a little 'off' to me though.

Big market there :-!.

Perhaps we can make a lot of money buy mass purchasing these, making them stealth, & then selling them to the UK & US military for covert ops in China??

Makes a lot of sense for Casio to cater for the China market with these new Multi-Band 6 pieces. I suppose Multi-Band 6 is the way of the future for coming releases. :-!
6, pah..... I'm going to put up a tiny transmitter in my basement, they better follow with a super-band 7 line.

Now where did I up that cesium....

I just saw the policemen in Hong Kong controlling the crowds as their new "Olympic" series currency is being circulated to the public. I am not supprised by the crowds (after all how many people are queing for the IPhone, and currency collectors are probably as crazy about their stuff as we are about G shocks) but O was supprised by how many Hong Kong policemen were sporting G shocks like it was on issue.

It has got me thinking about Chinese market for G shocks. Obviously the PLA will have their mil issue Shanghai made mechanical watches. But if personal preference due to profession kicks in. Casio would get the market of the worlds largest standing army and para military forces. The Peoples Liberation Army to market to.

I wonder if those Chinese made G shocks do get to Hong Kong, would we see the price of G shocks get lowered slightly?

Very interesting comment, Big G.

I can't even begin to imagine the size in manpower of China's PLA. If Casio obtained a contract for supplying G-Shocks to the PLA, that would be great numbers (and money, of course).

Of course I think the local watch industry has the upper hand there in any case. But maybe Casio could increase its investment in China.

4 million plus from what I last heard for the standing army alone. Contention with the Western countries and Russia as to the numbers of what constitutes the PLA, as the large numbers of PLA have been reassigned to the police force and are considered para military men.

That is not counting the reserves. And probably swelled up in numbers for the olympics.

Thanks again, Big G.

Did you see any specific G-Shock model/models used by the policemen you saw?
