What do you think?

No resin on it. Stainless steel and aluminium only.

I don't seem to see any similarities. If you can, please point out in the attached image.

It does NOT look like Sub clone, unless you consider 80-90% of all available "divers" today as such. Should Casio ever have the utmost stupid idea to do a Sub clone, I will skip Casio in a heartbeat and they can kiss my a** goodbye forever because I absolutely HATE Sub clones and I will never understand - while certainly iconic - such an antique design is worth copycating by so many companies when there are so much better, moder n day designs at hand.

I'm not even sure I'd call that a homage, let alone a clone. Just a few things that are different...
  • Noon index on dial isn't a triangle like Submariner
  • No cyclops
  • Bracelet is different
  • Bracelet lacks quick adjust
  • Hour hand is different
  • Minute hand is different
  • Second hand is different
  • Crown guard appears to be different
  • Quartz movement
  • WR is 200M vs. Submariner 300M

Ah, but the Submariner used to be 200m water resistant. Clearly Casio was aware of this fact and consciously chose to copy the Submariner in order to try and leech off of Rolex's success!

Reminds me of a meme that continues to make the rounds that a 'Market of Choice' doesn't exist when purchasing cars anymore because they are 'all the same'

Never mind subtle differences, different colorway options, different features, trims or even other options in the brand fleet :p

Those are overpriced, in my opinion, due to being a Swiss made homage. You can find the same level quality for a much lower price without the “Swiss” label.

I love the styling of the 'submariner', however, I'd never be able to afford one. That's why I bought something visually very similar, but entirely affordable...
