My Casio PRG 80 T (bought around 2007/2008) has delveloped a dark circle in the center and covers about 50% of the dial area. The watch works and shows good time but barometer and altimeter fxns are not working.
The India casio service centers say they cannot get the replacement module 2894.
My question to you folks is - wont any other module work? I am loathe to throw out a titanium bracelet especially since cmparable T watches are really expensive today.
The last known price for the module in India was about 110USD, when it was availble a few years ago.
Any suggestions of what can be done are welcome.
Regards.

You might want to look online for another used one with working functions and do a swap. I am not seeing anywhere near that $110 dollar price online. I see two on ebay shipping from Japan for less than $200, but that's basically just getting a new watch. If you need to replace the sensors I can almost guarantee the price of the repair will be more than the value of the watch. Is that bracelet proprietary? Did you measure the width of the springbars?

You could maybe send the watch to get repaired. I've seen several guys in Instagram that they repair digital watches that are really damaged and bring them back to life. For example, there is an account in Instagram named "hospitaldosrelogiosbr" that do an incredible work (they are from Brasil).

Good luck getting parts. I have the resin band version. It’s been as tough as any G. Let us know what you do to get it back in working order!

zero chance finding parts. much better off keeping an eye out for a good used one. i sold mine a year or two ago for <$200AU
the bracelet should fit a few of the other protreks from that era tho it would look a bit out of place against any other colour.
