I ordered this JDM Casio Protrek a few weeks ago as my latest outdoor watch. I've had 3 protreks and I just haven't been able to find the perfect one. This one is very close. The only thing it's missing is sapphire glass. When it showed up it was on a flimsy stock rubber strap with a chrome buckle, which really would not do for me but I specifically went for this model because its lug pattern allows you to use conventional straps. Well.. it turns out it's a 23mm. Instantly my whole strap collection was nullified. Luckily I found this very nice composite bracelet from strapsco that matches the finish of the watch perfectly. It really should have come this way!

My favourite feature so far is very unexpected - the white LED backIight. Unlike a normal digital watch, this one "spills over" quite a bit from the watch because it shines from the bottom up to illuminate the whole case. I love it because this spillover acts like a flashlight and illuminates whatever you point it at quite well. With this being a solar watch you feel no guilt using it whenever you need to see anything in the dark. Built-in wrist flashlight definitely ups the ante
