I've had my casio w735h for almost 6 years now and usually wear it to work, the other day while putting it on getting ready for work ( on my birthday no less ) I noticed the band had split and completely broke off finally. I searched Amazon and found the casio band BUT the band cost more than what I gave for the watch years ago.
Is there a aftermarket band or another solution for a band replacement ?
I have very little hearing left so the vibration alarm helps me with so many things. I have other watches but none are what my old Casio is for me .

You might find cheaper on ebay, but be careful that you are buying genuine Casio parts. I think $15-20 for an OEM strap is pretty par for the course. When a whole new watch is $25, the economics don't seem to make a lot of sense, but if you are sentimental about the watch, then I think it's worth biting the bullet.

Jays and Kays may make adapters for that watch, so you could install your choice of a more durable strap, but adapters+strap you'll be into more money.

If you buy a whole new watch, consider the W736H, which for all intents and purposes is the same watch with a display that does away with the animated "eyes."

I couldn't agree more. The display of the 736 is so unbelievable good, I dare to say one of Casio's best ever and the usefulness of the watch is just awesome. I recently wrote a review about the W-736H just in case you are interested:

As a matter of fact, there are:

Those velcros are very pratical, fast wrap and they are very comfortable to wear. The lugs are too wide for the W-736H but with a small file you can grind them down in no time to the 18mm you need for the Casio. I installed those bands on a lot of my watches lately (including the W-736H and a G-Shock DW-9052) and the wearing comfort has never been better. They show up under different names with different prices but they are essentially all the same.

Used some precision files I had to fit the strap works great so far, although the strap could have been a little bit longer I like it
Glad you like the strap, thanks for the feedback (y)

You don't need adapters for the velcro straps. All you gotta do is to grind them down to 18mm. You also could buy 18mm velcro straps but they look ridiculous on the 735/736.
