What are your thought ?

To me I much prefer the older Ceramic date. But currently on the waitlist for the sub41 at my Ad ( turned it down March of this year because I was buying a home , but now if I get a call I’m game).

I’m not a fan of the wider bracelet……

What one do y’all prefer ?

And no I am not paying over retail the the older ceramic date

I never bought the original ceramic b/c of the lugs. My AD called me and offered up the new 41 and I bought.
I offered it to my son but turns out 20 year olds have no affinity to a Submariner. My MoonWatch, Milgauss and DJ41's well that is a completely different topic.

Its a wonderful watch but not for me...I have decided comfort trumps all else and that bracelet and clasp just don't do it for me.

You know, it took me a while to warm up to the submariner myself. I couldn't get what the hype was about for the longest time. Now i think it's one of the best looking watches out there.

I've owned 6 subs over the years and have always loved them. If Rolex would have improved the bracelet, kept the Maxi Dial I'd still be a huge fan. Out of the 6 I've owned this was the King. I'm just not of fan of the industry's "going bigger".

Haha! I found these photos today when PhotoBucket was telling me my account was going to be closed.

NOT proud of this and it only lasted a day...I have that bezel around here somewhere probably worth something.

I give you perfection....11610LV (Maxi Dial with 16610/perfection case) and Black Bezel. I'd never have worn that out of the house but it was fun to look at. Crappy phone cameras back then! LOL

What a different look...why couldn't they have done this I'll never understand.

Pretty common mod, personally don’t see anything wrong with it.
Also agree the 16610LV was a sweet spot.
Definitely looks good with either bezel.

Yeah I got tired of the green after almost 10 years and moved it on. I could never do the black on that watch. I learned I am a real purist and consider that even too Franken for me.
