You might recall I was looking for a Citizen 8110 model to purchase sometime back. I'm glad to say that I finally found one for sale in December which I managed to win. This is a 67-9119 with a different dial from a 67-9038 which the seller described as 'requires attention'.
The problem with this watch is as follows-
The stem is inserted all the way, but the 'reset' pusher quicksets the day. The crown also sets the date when turned. I removed the stem (correctly I should add!) and measured it to be around 14mm+/1mm so I think it is correct. I am also unable to handwind it. The chronograph functions, but I can only start & stop it. The minutes subdial keeps moving even if the chronograph is stopped.
Does anyone know what's wrong? I'm looking for a parts watch to get some minor parts that I require to restore this watch so I'm not giving it to be serviced just yet. The parts I'm after are one subdial hand, correct dial and the mechanism to rotate the inner bezel. I'll share some photos as soon as I resize them.
Thanks in advance for any replies!
