SeaGull

In this thread the watches made by SeaGull.

My first seaGull, and the one that re-ignited my love for mechanical watches.

Originally on two-tone bracelet:

but now on leather

green faced ST5:

Also available in blue ;-)

The M177, one of the best looking ones they made:

SeaGull also made a Sub Homage:

Some more ST5's:

The 29j st5D:

National Railroad Watches:

One with a strange ZJS movement:

Some watches were produced under different names:

Lanhua:

And DongFeng:

Maurice Blum is also produced by SeaGull:

Shanghai

I have collected quite a few shanghai watches by now. Some vintage, some new. The new ones are re-editions of famous vintage watches.

The Heping is a re-edition of a Shanghai Prototype watch from the mid-fifties:

This is a reissue of shanghai's MilWatch:

A red dialed SS7:

A plain 7120:

An A581:

Two 1120's:

And a 1523:

Beijing

The amount of Beijings is still limited, but I'm convinced it will grow. They make watches to a very high standard.

Just look at that movement:

Thanks Soviet,
I don't know if it is the biggest. I guess there aren't that many European collectors that specifically collect Chinese.

Martin, my dear friend, your collection is mouth watering, indeed. You have so many very beautiful watches. Your fotos are also amazing. Thank you very much for sharing with us, and also I would like to thank OzPutera for bringing this fantastic collection to our attention.

Fascinating collection, obviously assembled with taste, tenacity, patience and an adequate budget; that's me beaten on all four counts.

Nice to see another swan-neck regulator, well designed and well made, apparently. Handsome, fine cotes de Geneve making a pleasant change from the more usual broad presentation.

Sex on lugs!

Re: Alpha

I bought it on the Alpha website, and put it on another strap.
Their site is Alpha Watch
but it's currently not listed. Usually they come back within several weeks.

It's a very nice combination that makes the watch look far more classy than the original strap probably made it out to be.

Can you recall the model name/number?

Alpha never removes pages to models currently out of stock, they only do not reference them from the overview pages. The watch in question can be viewed here: Alpha Watch
But ordering probably will not be possible
