I didn't know these existed until stumbling upon them on the Internet this evening.

What's the backstory on these? From what era are they? So these aren't custom mods?

I'm surprised at how many different kinds there are. And I'm confused. I see at least one is from the late 1960s. Wouldn't Rolex's base clientele be the relatively wealthy, mainstream folks who were anti-hippie in the late '60s and early '70s?

Unless you write for High Times magazine, that seems to me like an absolutely awful undermining of your otherwise impressive and expensive watch.

Someone can take an authentic watch with all original parts and alter it (mod) how they want. Those faces are probably genuine Rolex, however, someone altered them. It's not that difficult.

I believe i have seen a few Omegas like this aswell. I thought the same thing.. Has to be a add on after the fact..
