Corgeut's Tudor Black Bay - Thoughts?

Was just browsing randomly looking at Tudor Black Bay watches and came across these Corgeut 'Black Bay' watches selling for $130. Here are some pictures I pulled from their webpage.

They also have a version with blue markers on the dial...

...and gold markers

I never heard of Corgeut but I emailed them to find out exactly what movement they're using. It seems they went the shameless route and wanted to produce an exact copy of the Black Bay with everything being similar but their name (as Parnis has done with their Black Bay Red version which sells for twice as much). Although I love the Tudor Black Bay watches and hope to own one in the future, I think this feels too much like a replica for me to wear especially with their copy of the markings on the crown.

Perhaps the version with the gold markings and date window makes it unique enough to differentiate it from the originals, but I'm just curious what other people's thoughts were. How would you feel about wearing this watch versus one that's been modded to look like the original? Thanks

Edit: They emailed back saying it uses a Miyota 8125 movement

Considering the crown is a fake Tudor crown, I wouldn't buy one of these watches. It seems pretty obvious they are made from parts used in the manufacture of knockoffs.

I'd love to find a watch that's a legitimate homage in this color scheme, but I'd be entirely uncomfortable with something so close to fake.

I don't think it's worse than any other homage, of which I've bought several and built a few. It's not an outright fake so I wouldn't have a problem wearing it.

Which Miyota movement? Guessing 8215.

Comes in 2 sizes? 41mm and 44mm?
Time to start saving methinks.

I think they are all 41mm, 44mm is with the crown.
For $130, I am seriously considering pulling the trigger on one of these, as I am pretty sure it is the exact same case as the Parnis version, but for less than half the price. I would personally de-brand the crown though, but it shouldn't be too hard to do I would think.

I'd be curious to know your thoughts if you do decide to purchase it.

If you were into modding a watch this would be a great base watch to work off of. Another nonsense name on the dial . The rose on the crown and Tudor shield on the clasp would be a turn off for me personally. However the case and redial / new hands with a nice vintage strap leather strap would work nicely.

And the bezel edge machining. On the 8926 modding thread, one of the most praised aspects of an excellent homage is altering the bezel edge to this configuration.

Aside from the Tudoresk marking on the crowns face and other locations I don't have a problem with the overall look. I wish mine had the date............

I made up a watch very much based off the Black Bay and I don't feel bad about it at all. I don't believe anyone could look directly at my watch and tell me that I want to think it is a Tudor product.

Polished crown face but I've considered having it etched as well as the sides of the case, just haven't figured out a design yet.

I believe the Parnis Black Bay homage is 43mm, 2mm bigger than the Corgeut.
Not that any of us keep things on the stock strap anyway, but that thing looks like the biggest POS to fall off the truck in a long time.

(The strap that is. I love the BB.)

Yep - I got an email back confirming that it uses the 8215
I'm surprised people aren't making a bigger stink about the crown marking.

Other than that, while it seems like they got the dial right, the case looks really slab-sided and blocky to me.

This is my phone. There are many like it but this one is mine. Without me, my phone is useless. Without my phone, I am useless. Its name is Jazzmine.

With the exception of the really slight dome on the real one, the case looks similar to the real one

I think the crown puts it firmly into the replica category, and is therefore a no go. It would be the same as if a Sub homage had the Rolex crown on the crown. And quite honestly, I don't like my homages too close. My own BB homage is as close as I feel comfortable with. It has a different case shape (Sub-like instead of BB-like), redder bezel insert, smaller size, and different bezel edge (although I may change that).

If it was just one guy modding a watch for personal use, it wouldn't bother me much, but for mass-production, the copied crown gets it too close to be comfortable for me.

This reminds me of "tiger Concepts" in a way. The crystal is mineral so expect it to scratch. I think the $300 Parnis one is Sapphire. I wish it came with a nice bracelet to.
