Could I pull off a 33mm Nomos? ~5.9-6.0in wrist

Salutations to my fellow watch enthusiasts and comrades! In recent months after many looks at Nomos’ website, I feel that the Nomos that speaks to me most is the 33mm Ludwig Duo Enamel White. I tend to like watches with great contrast and this model has that in spades to my eyes. My wrist is more or less 5.9-6.0 inches and the 35mm models come with the 45mm L2L, which may be pushing it just a bit for my taste. In recent months as well, my taste has shifted a bit to watches that are more proportionate.

Detailed below are some wrist shots of a 33mm Sternglas Naos (8mm case height; 36mm L2L; 16mm lug width), 35mm Kuoe Old Smith (12.5mm case height; 42mm L2L; 18mm lug width) and a 38mm Sternglas (8mm case height; 41mm L2L; 20mm lug width).

Let me know what you think. Could I pull off the Nomos 33mm Duo? I know that the lack of a running seconds may drive some people nuts, but I kind of agree with Nomos’ description of the watch itself being more serene without it. I feel that with the Nomos, having a 42.2mm L2L may help with its wrist presence? Whereas the Sternglas 33mm here has a bit less wrist presence from the shorter L2L. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your responses. Cheers and have yourselves a blessed day. Here are the images:

I think the case size would be great on you but the lug to lug seems like it’d be at the top of your potential range. If you don’t mind the lugs nearly reaching the ends of your wrists, go for it. Truthfully it’s hard to tell how these REALLY look on your wrist when the pics you provided are top down wrist shots presumably with 1x zoom as opposed to the more accurate mirror shots.

Thank you all for the replies so far. I will send some mirror shots to see if that can give you a better vantage point.

…a solid “man” sized watch.
What does this even mean?

Admittedly it’s hard to tell from photos sometimes, but based on the photos, the 33 isn’t even close to looking like an obvious “ladies” watch. If it was a genuine ladies watch, say 28mm, it would probably look a little odd relative to modern preferences.

The Nomos design looks way larger than you’d expect. 35mm works well on my 7.25” wrist so 33 should be fine on yours.

Based on these photos, I'd say you could pull off the 33mm Ludwig just fine. Two hands on an enamel dial would make a superb dress watch.

Thank you all for your replies. Really helpful to get so many different points of view. I feel that given the thin bezel and the 42.2mm L2L on the Nomos, that it is wearable. The 33 Sternglas on occasion appears a tad small for my taste, but I think that is because I just started wearing it for about a week. Also, what may be factoring into it being so small would be that the L2L is 36mm. But at the same time I am thinking that it does look somewhat proportionate which is interesting. So I am in that starting phase and if I wear it more, perhaps it will grow on me.

What intrigues and fascinates me about these smaller watches is also the fact that to create them is quite laborious I imagine for a watchmaker given the smaller tolerances and tighter spacing. I can only imagine how difficult it is to create even smaller pieces than this Nomos. Thank you all once again. Now, about that price though… 😆

Here is the 33mm Sternglas; mirror shot; technically according to my measurements, it is almost exactly like the Nomos in terms of diameter at 32.8mm x ~9.5mm height x 36mm L2L; 16mm lug width
