Dear fellow watch geeks
I've been enjoying reading a lot of post and reviews about watches I either bought or was interested in... Sorry to make my first post here a "bad" story, but this is crazy!
I bought two watches on creationwatches.com, as the prices are very nice there. Very good order information flow, and the package arrived (in Denmark/Europe) in just 4 days. Bought a Citizen diver and a Orient "Mako"... the Citizen was perfect, but when I unscrewed the crone to adjust the time on the Orient, the entire crown popped right out of the watch. See the picture...
I thought this would be a easy deal, hence the good service so far... I mean, I would expect that the watch would be replaced without any fuss. But how wrong could I be!
The told me, that I could go to a local watch shop and get the watch fixed myself... for the inconvenience they offered me a refund of 5%. Just to make sure, I ask them to confirm that they also would cover any expensives regarding the repair... But again I was wrong. The 5% discount should cover the repair bill... !?
I then told them, that I wanted to use my 30 days refund option, stated in their return terms... BUT they told me that this wasn't possible, since the watch needed a repair o|
The last thing I tried to do, was to make a new deal with an Orient 300m (6 times the price of the Mako), where I asked for a discount equal to the price I paid for the Mako... They offered me a discount of 4%. (I didn't go for that!!!)
Is it me who thinks this is crazy? Any others who's experienced something similar with them?
Any comments welcome... even so if I'm the one who's acting crazy
/Claus
