Re: New Crepas VI "Coming Soon"

You are missing the anko thread and the alignment issues from the movement sliding around inside the case.
Ouch! That would drive me insane! The announcement seems so ominous!

Must have missed that thread, been nice for it to have been mentioned in the post, I have been inside of a few Crepas watches including the new Decomaster, sounds to me like the movement spacer isn't machined to exact tolerances, or the case back isn't securing the ring when screwed down, either way, it's not good, I can however say that the Decomaster does not suffer from such issues, it's a solid piece and I hope this new model shares the same build quality.

Re: New Crepas VI "Coming Soon"

Not sure it has to do with the "line" I have the tactico Type RE Chrono. It is of the highest quality, as is the Crepas Decomaster, which I also have.

I suspect that the issue with the Anko was the contract manufacturer they used. This is conjecture on my part, but I thikn they used a different contract manufacturer for the Anko than for their other watches - thus the QC issues. I may be mistaken but the Type RE was made in Germany and the Crepas was Swiss Made.

I suspect the Anko was made an Asian contract manufacturer - hence the QC issues. I would welcome any correction to my conjecture.

Would be interesting if true. Any reason for your speculation?
Crepas' teaser showing an orange charcoal dial and a similar date window to the typhoon's. Also, the fact they like to homage iconic watches.

Another teaser alluding to the Typhoon name.

Really looking forward to seeing this. Didn't like the Decomaster but overall like Crepas offerings.

Front loading case? No screw off caseback. Screw looks like a movement retainer.
