Hi,

Several years ago, I came across a Cuervo y Sobrinos Torpedo and really took to its unique look. I'm now in the market for a watch in that price range (give or take $4k), but I can't seem to pull the trigger on this company given that its movement (ETA) is nothing special. With that said, I'm relatively new to upmarket watches, so feel free to tell me why I'm wrong.

I'm wondering if you can think of any watches with similar styling that offer a better value?

These pictures look a lot like the watch I originally saw:

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums! When I see that watch face, the first thing I think of is a Patek 5170 chronograph.

I'm not familiar with Cuervo y Sobrinos, but one watch that pops to mind that will meet your budget is a vintage Breitling Navitimer, circa 1960's

Kindest Regards,
Portauto

Mido's Multifort Pulsometer Chronograph is no longer in production, but probably still can be found new for between $800 - $1000:
