MKII offers some nice customisation options, but they don't offer some basic stuff like different dial colours, which really wouldn't be that hard to do, are there any other companies that do custom watches in the sub-$1000 price range?
You're right about MkII. Bill Yao is a master of military hommage watches and custom divers, but they are geared towards the conservative and functional rather than style. Please don't mistake my remarks as any sort of criticism of MkII Watches. Indeed, I own two Blackwater MMTs and one Quad 10, all excellent and real values for the price.
Perhaps you could describe what you have in mind as a custom watch?
And Ken, thanks for the link. Looks like a real master craftsman!
