After shopping from the typical big brand strap companies, I had a collection of straps that are pretty much variation of the same. Particularly, 21mm straps options are scarce and blend. After checking out the Straps forum on WUS, I decided to give Clover a try. The entire process took about 3wks, from submitting photos of the watches that I want to have straps made, to design discussion, sample material review via photos, to having straps in hand. Patrik the proprietor was extremely easy to work with, seems to be online just as much as me. |> Needless the to say, this will not be the last Clover straps I've have. :) Okay, without farther babbling here are some pics.

Ball EM2 Aviator GMT on Canvas Clover. This is my default biz travel watch so the hint of red stripe on the strap to tie it back to the red GMT hand was the perfect amount of wow.

They are very pliable and comfortable. Not much break-in period required.

Nice is that material water resistant (both salt and fresh)? Great to get someone who can make a strap that fits and not just cram in a 22mm.

We need someone like this to take up making a retainer hoop in a strap that can go over the double pins of an EHC and also fill some of the gap. They would probably pick up a few customers here on the forum if they can pull it off. It would just need to have some slop since each EHC has a different pin position.

That would be ideal. Unfortunately that is the only down side, they are not water resistant/proof for water sports. However I imaging most of us having a collection of straps that would be water proof for water sports, which you can swap out. Or for that matter, just switch to a different watch entirely. :)

Hello. New Ball watch owner here and first post.

I just bought the Hydrocarbon Black this week and am delighted with it.
On reading this thread, I thought I'd ask if anyone has found a strap maker that accepted the challenge and made a bespoke strap for any of the Hydrocarbon watches?
While the OEM rubber strap is perfect for the Hydrocarbon Black, I think the Black's design would exhibit an intriguingly different persona on the right bespoke strap.
(Does anyone else see some Art Deco in the Black's design...or am I just projecting? :))

Alternately, is there any news from Ball about a bracelet or other strap in the works that will fit the Black or other Hydrocarbon's?

Cheers!

I saw this on the Gunny Straps blog Gunny Straps - Handmade Straps. I had him make a strap for my EOT Model 22 Deck Watch and it is very nice and well made. This strap looks like it goes over both pins and fills in the gap well IMO. I have thought of having him make a strap for my NEDU.
Great suggestion. I've been looking for a strap for my hydrocarbon for a while now. Especially with winter coming up and all the bracelets just no longer ideal

OK that is the first EHC with a strap that looks right and is not the OEM Rubber IMO. Looks great.
