Custom Seiko Teflon-Polymer Black Monster:rodekaart

To my knowledge, there has never been a watch like this one with a mil-spec coating, so I will explain it first.

This watch is coated with a military spec Teflon polymer currently in use by US Special Operations Forces on their gear and weapons. It has passed numerous military tests including resistance to corrosion and fluids (60 days in sea water, jet fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid and paint thinner just to name a few), thermal stability (500 to -58 degrees Fahrenheit), impact resistance and abrasion resistance. :-!

There are currently only three of these Teflon polymer coated watches that I'm aware of: 2 Seiko SKX-007's and this SKX-779K black dial Monster. o|

The gentlemen who does the coating. (He is a former RECON Marine and as such was issued weapons with the same coating that is applied to this watch. He was trained in firearm refinishing and applied this coating to weapons while in the military.)
He is a partner of a well-known watch forum custom watchmaker.

This one of a kind Monster has the Satin Black Mil-Spec Teflon coating on case, case back, bezel and crown.

Comes on a BANDA 20mm rubber dive strap.

$285 shipped insured priority mail to US address

(Teflon coating is $195 by itself)
