Many on the board have used or know of John Glance at Dangerous Straps but I thought I would share my new custom made straps for the Planet Ocean XL. They are not cheap but if you want custom, quality and top workmanship than this is the guy. The only drawback is that you have to wait a lonnnggg time for the strap, I believe it is a 8 to 9 week backlog. However, if you can be patient you will get what you pay for. So to the straps- I ordered a black ostrich leg skin for the office and the swiss ammo pouch for the weekend. It all starts with a beautifully presented package that just screams custom made. The ostrich leg has the classic appeal of a well made strap on exotic skin. The stitching is so seamless it simply blends in and the grain is just perfect. But my downfall was ordering the swiss ammo strap. It simply will not come off my wrist. It came from a 1950 ammo pouch and is exceptional. Unfortunately I cannot offer the wonderful smell of old leather and the feel of a strap over 50 years old. The pics hopefully will convey the experience to a small degree. If you are in the market for a custom strap than consider Dangerous, if you are in the market for a custom ammo than you must use John.
