I have done some searches but have not found any answers. I have had this watch for about 3 weeks and notice that the date changes around 11:40 pm every night. Should it not change a little closer to midnight than this. Anyone have any experiences or suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

As the date change mechanism is mechanical in nature running from gears, it may not change instantly at 12:00AM.

As a general rule, unless the date is driven by a digital date, the mechanical process can start occuring from as early as 11:00pm and runs a long as 4:00am (models with day of week and date)

Rest assured your watch is operating within specifications.

Sincerely

On some autos with a two language day wheel the change over can take almost 4 hours, on my Seiko monster it starts around 11:00PM and is complete around 3:00AM
