Hey Guys,
As you all know the Casio G-Shocks are probably one of the popular watches these days. Celebs like Kanye, T-Pain, Athletes, and other stars are wearing them. To be honest the one who really brought the G-Shocks to life is Pharrell when he iced out his G-Shock by Jacob the Jeweler. Yea, Pharrell is all about style and detail...
Today everyone is setting diamonds on the G-Shocks, but with no taste. The setting is horrible, the diamonds look like :-x:-x:-x:-x (excuse my language), and the case is made out of sterling silver, come on. Silver is a expensive material, but it's made to be used for antiques. After some time the silver turns black and ugly, and it doesnt have the flash gold has. The only material which looks as good as gold is stainless steel. And if you guys are familiar with setting, stainless steel is really hard to set. You need to use a CNC machine to set stones, and its expensive. So beware of who you buy from.
Here are a few nice Diamond G-Shocks.
Jacob & Co. But its custom made, they dont sell it a the store.
Look at the image below, look at the detail and the setting of the diamonds. This is craftmanship.
Theres a jewelry company I came accross on the net, Icebox. They have some nice Diamond G-Shocks. I think they made some pieces for T-Pain.
I don't know how much they run for, but I guess you can contact them.
I'm sure you guys heard of ZShocks. This is a company who set CZ's on Silver. There setting is OK, not the greatest. I really dont like these two materials put together it spells out cheap. But it looks OK. I heard it sells for $800. I think a CZ watch which sells for $800 is way overpriced. I personally would not buy such a watch.
I took a look on eBay and I saw some of the ugliest Diamond G-Shocks. I personally wouldn't buy any of the Diamond G-Shocks which are currently listed. eBay is a good place to get deals, but not everything is a deal. If there is something worth to look at, Ill update you guys.
