Hello,
I need some help.
I found a beautiful antique pocket watch made by A. Lange & Söhne. I decided to buy it, but I found an interesting difference: the serial number on the case is different from the number on the movement. Is it possible or probably the case is not original (i mean not made for this exact movement)? By the way there is a brand logo on the case, and it looks ok.
Thanks,
Adam

It's possible that it's a fake, or has had something replaced. But it's equally possible that it simply has a serial number for the case and a separate serial number for the movement--not uncommon in the vintage world. In any event, as WatchEater666 said, pictures would help (especially of the movement).
