Steel blue if you’re going to grill it. The gold and silver is really more of a braising watch. Personally, I’ve never liked the taste of seiko and I prefer to wear them, but ymmv. Either will pair nicely with a classic Rhône blend.

This question got much easier to answer once I internalized the fact that literally not a single person will notice or care what watch I’m wearing and that I should wear what strikes my fancy at that specific moment. If you aren’t wearing a suit no one will care. If you are wearing a suit there’s like a 5% chance someone will care but that’s only so they can judge you about wearing an incorrect sort of watch with it or make plans to rob you of said watch later.
