I have noticed several watch that have the numbers on the diver bezek reversed. That is, minutes 1-15 on the bezel are between the 45-60 minute markers on the dial. Does anyone have any idea why these bezels are designed this way?

Thanks,

Bill

Bill,

Are you specifically talking about some of the Kobolds that have been posted here recently? If so, I don't think these were originally intended for their divers. More for the tactical operator, but they can be used in a diving situation.

If we're both on the same page, these are strictly count down bezels. Planning a bottom time of 40 minutes? Set it on 40, and start your ascent once the minute hand reaches zero. Of course, that depends on if you have enough gas.;-)

As Ty said, it's just a count-down instead of a count-up. Just as easy to use.
