This is intended to be a non-commercial post. I do not sell bracelets, nor will I work on your bracelet. I simply wanted to get the information out there.

If you need help identifying the bracelet that works, feel free to PM or email me.

This watch is AWESOME on this bracelet! I love it.

Thanks Dave.

I have a rubber strap on my watch and it would be nice to add a bracelet.

I think I recognize the band and seller, but I'll send you a PM just to make sure |>.
That's a very cool and INEXPENSIVE mod there MISTER Murphy! :) I've got (or did have) an older Amphibian that that would (would've) worked well on! Just checked...it is WOULD HAVE....it was a blue dialed Dude. I made a leather strap work on it, but never really cared for the way it looked. Dang you is smart!!

If anybody out there owns both a Neptune and an integrated-bracelet Slava TV (AKA 'Chromehenge') can you please confirm whether or not the lug of the Slava is the same width and length as the Neptune?

This is the one that I mean:

I'm not entirely surprised that there are metal bracelets out there in this style with the right diameter center link, since I've thought about it before but didn't want to bother finding one. I want to try this but I'm not as sure how well it will look on my sunburst-brushed Neptune case. I'm using a mesh band right now that I Dremeled to fit but I'm starting to pass on it. It would certainly help if I had a new bezel to spruce up the face of the watch to complement it though. *coughcough*

I don't know 'bout that, Mister M. I'm just a guy who likes watches, and has a lot of tools.

But one thing is for sure: If I do 99 stupid things, then 1 smart thing, then post pix of that thing on a forum, it does tend to make me look smarter. Smart enough not to post the 99 stupid things, anyway.

Tell me about it, my friend! I have a few watches that I thought would be SO EASY to fix.....nope. I also have several drawers full of gun parts and pieces that made it off the drawing board and off the lathe or mill....but never worked like I wanted. For me it's more like 1 decent idea out of 749....I can live with that LOL!! :)

It was a lucky find. I actually bought the bracelet so I could file the endlinks for a 060 case. Then I happened to notice the similarity in dimensions. I liked it so much that I reordered so I could put these on both watches.

Oh, that radial finish... it's one of my current obsessions. I wish I could apply a brush finish in that pattern. Hmmmm... the radial grain on the lug would be just about the same as the linear grain on the bracelet, so it might look okay. OTOH, I guess one needs to consider fine vs coarse grain.

*coughcough*
Being a non commercial forum and all, I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about. :D

Do you have calipers handy to measure the Slava? Looks like the lug on the Neptune is about 9.2 mm wide.

So I had gone ahead and ordered one of these bracelets after seeing this thread. It arrived after not too long and after a bit of filing I fit it on my Neptune just fine. Coincidentally Dave Murphy did also restock his bezels around the same time, so I ordered one of those and a Seiko bezel insert to complement it. The insert finally arrived today, so now I'm finally able to show off the complete setup. Thanks again, Dave.

After:

There are other Neptunes with a similar dotted bezel like this, although Dagaz sells an insert closer to my original one I may pick up when they restock it, since Meranom isn't carrying the new Vostok black bezels separately.

Wow! The original bracelet on that looks terrible. The end links are smaller than the next links?

With the new bracelet and new bezel insert, it looks like a new (and different) watch. Very nice!

That bracelet looks like it might fit my modified Pulsar NX01-001 as well.

Oh yes, I know. While removing links I targeted those smaller ones first. Not sure if that's how it was originally, just how I received it.

Thanks, it definitely brings some new life into the watch. There's still a bit of disjointedness with the worn case and dial, and the sharper edges of the case, but it's much classier now.
Here's another:

I filed down one link a little too much, but you can't really tell from the front.

So, I just acquired a Dude in this case and very kindly directed here by a friend at a Facebook Vostok forum.
Excellent! I can get on EBAY tomorrow or if some kind soul could point me to a known seĺler I can get filing.😀😀😀

Wild! I carried out the same procedure on this watch months ago. I thought it was my own ingenious idea -- until today

It looks like you used an 18mm bracelet, which has a nicer fit around the center lug, but looks a little too thin extending to the sides instead. Interesting.
Good job! That's one of the reasons I was not overly fond of my first Amphibia. It had weird lugs plus a crappy bracelet.Your bracelet seems fine though.

Ah yes, 18mm indeed. It wasn't a conscious decision I made, just the strap I had lying around. It fits the center lug perfectly with no adjustment necessary.

I never even noticed it looking a little thin until you mention it (but now I agree). In the flesh it looks fine, I think. If anything, an 18mm bracelet gives the watch itself a bit more presence.
