So you got some photo skilz...
Do you have what it takes to make the shot?
That's right watch fans! Welcome to the Do It Yourself Watch Ad Challenge!
No need the Photoshop, just a caption will do.
Tell us how you did it:

I had this shot visualized in my head

I wanted to catch only the parts of the watch that identify it.
I was lazy so instead of raising the background or lowering the camera, I just cropped it in post

then I tried BW and selective color

not really digging it so back to color and some lettering

I'd give this effort a 6 or 7.
Not sure I like cropping the bottom of the watch face and the placement. Also should have reset the time, you know, to be pro and all.
I was going to use "built to last" but thought that cliché, well more cliché than what I got.
Okay, Oris ain't going to pay me for this, but I thought it was fun.
In a boring Saturday afternoon kind of way.
Who's next?

Nice picture. Great use of background props and depth of field.

Marketing is not my strength but here it goes.

I took this photo using my IPhone, a Pyrex bowl filled with seltzer water, and a shot-glass to levitate the watch. After that I used a editing app to darken the edges and adjust the contrast.
cool! 10 for the image! not sure about the ad copy...how about: Seiko, the champagne of watches...nah that sounds even goofier. The image is so strong maybe no copy is needed.

a little bit o'silver shot as props
the first shot I did I thought the lettering was too close to watch face making the balance a little off so went back and cropped again

I shot the watches on a black back ground; should have shot on white. Would have been easier to control opacity of the layers. Better to shoot for this kind of composition instead of trying fit things together. For instance for this shot I would have dropped the horizon to make room for the watch.
I like idea of this one enough to work on it a bit more...
