I have the Seiko snaf69p1, it has a leather strap. The snaf67p1 is the same case with a metal strap. I wanted to get the metal strap so I won't have to replace it again.
Do I have to get the exact Seiko strap for that case? Or will any 22mm metal watch strap work?

Unless it’s made for that case, the end links probably won’t fit exactly. You might find one that’s close enough, but it could be rough trial and error. You could also get a straight end link bracelet that doesn’t fill the lug void. I don’t care for the look, but it’s not my wrist.

Minor point, but it may help avoid some confusion and make it easier to find what you're looking for.
  • "Strap" usually implies a leather, rubber, or fabric band.
  • "Bracelet" is almost always metal, typically comprised of links.
  • "Band" can mean either one, or be used in combination to denote a specific type, such as "Mesh Band".
I'm not into Seikos, so I don't know about your specific watch, or what other models might cross over fit-wise. But in addition to OE there are aftermarket bracelets made to fit certain models. Some are reputedly higher quality than OE, and often at a lower price.

Companies like Strapcode and a couple others sell bracelets that fit many Seiko models well - particularly for popular divers like the Samurai or Turtle. (I'm only mentioning Strapcode because I haven't purchased bracelets from the other well-known aftermarket companies.)

Not sure about your Seiko, which appears to be a chronograph. I'd be surprised if there is enough demand for a stainless steel bracelet on a chrono for anyone but Seiko to make a bracelet specifically for it. And if the bracelet - primarily focusing on the end links - isn't specifically made for your case/lugs, then it will be hit or miss about whether it will fit and/or have gaps between the end links and case. And I personally wouldn't wear a bracelet with end links that don't fit the case/lugs properly.

Also, whether the bracelet finishing matches the case finishing also could be hit or miss. Here's a picture of a very nice Seiko I have since parted with, which was paired with a well-fitting strapcode bracelet. The bracelet matched the watch well, but under some lighting angles - as in this picture - you can notice the finishing difference. That one photo really captured the finishing difference: it really was not that noticeable 95% of the time. (Lucy, our white Golden Retriever, hardly noticed the difference at all.)

I can't speak to your Seiko however I purchased an aftermarket Jubilee bracelet for my Bulova Super Seville as a way to change the look from the President style bracelet. I did some research and found that it is near impossible to get a perfect fit on this watch. You can see in the pix the slight gap at the case I'm still happy with the result however.

I saw a picture of the watch in question, Seiko SNAF69P1,
It seems like a common case/lug design, I think you'll be fine with any strap/metal bracelet that fit the size/design.
