here in the Chinese Mech forum that you should throw NATO straps in the laundry with jeans to break them in?

If so, do you put them in the dryer, or air dry?

Thanks [sorry for the lame-o question :-d]

Throw it in the dryer. I've been wearing one for some time now and the strap is stiff but not uncomfortable at all. I've not washed it either.

Why do you need to break them in by throwing them in the washer?
Just wear them: blood, sweat and tears will break them in the best!

And, when they get so stinky that the washing machine doesn't remove the smell, boil them for ten minutes. This will shrink them about 1 to 2% in length, but not in width, but it removes the smell.
