I've done this mod!
You have two ways of doing it IMHO
One: buy a bracelet (I went with a generic ÂŁ30 ebay glidelock copy) and modify the end links to fit the Combat 39 (I did this once with another watch that has HELs and man it sucked... LOTS of remove metal, try the fit and repeat)
Two: buy a bracelet (I went with a generic ÂŁ30 ebay glidelock copy) and split the links to free off the Rolex style 'male' endlinks, then split the Glycine bracelet and inset the "half centre" links and re-assemble.
I went with option two... if you're VERY lucky the pins will be the same size... I wasn't. So I set about drilling out the Glycine"half centre" links, but sadly I couldn't find the collet I needed to mount the tiny drill bit in my pillar drill (FFS, it's there somewhere... I just haven't seen it for 10 years)
In an act of frustration.. I ended up taking 2 full size "centre" links out of the donor bracelet (thank eff for effeminate wrists that I could spare the links), and cutting them in half then shaping the ends with a dremel...
I've since bought another generic ÂŁ30 ebay glidelock copy bracelet but I've yet to get round to trying it all again #lazy
What I've ended up with is a Combat Sub 39 that has the OEM endlinks, a 20-16mm taper, screwed links and a glidelock..
Sure the generic ÂŁ30 ebay glidelock copy is a pretty sh*tty bracelet, but then so is the OEM one... As a bonus this bracelet also fits my MKii Kingston (with the MKii endlinks) so worth the trouble... time to find the collet and do it properly...
It pays to heat the bracelet to around 200c in the oven to facilitate splitting it...
