We had polls asking about Sleeping, swimming, jogging up to off road racing with your watch on.
Now curios to know if people shower or bath with their watch on.

This question is frequently asked, and has had numerous heated threads discussing this. See here for examples found on a search, and even some polls previously asked:

The first link also includes a few more threads listed in the second post. Bottom line: there's a lot of people with very strong opinions on this matter and not much consensus.

I have not worn any of my watches ever in the shower or tub. Most of my watches are antique and even though I change out seals and gaskets (mostly to keep out dust and moister out) I won't chance it.

I shower with mine after I do laps in the pool, but I always leave it off when I shower at home.

But it is more because I shower in the morning and don't sleep with it on than because I am worried I will ruin it. I figure 300m of WR can handle a shower.

No, I'm not a highly trained assasin mall spy who has to be ready at the slightest sound of glass marbles being stepped on under the front door matt. I leave the UZI, throwing knives, Ninja stars and my tactical time piece in my room with the rest of the attache' cases and proximity mines.

When it comes time to 'cleaning' my watches, I use a combination of Aviation fuel, Butch's bore shine, and honey and lightly scrub the areas with a bore brush.

Whats the point of showering with it on? Besides possibly wearing out the gaskets and leather strap even more...?

Better to have it and not need it, than need it than not have it - <Quote, ever American enthusiast forum I've been a member of>

If the end of the world happend whilst you were in the shower, wouldnt you want to know what time it is?

Never... not because the watches can't handle it, but because I want to be able to wash as much of my body as I can.
