So I recently read an article on Hodinkee that talks about guys who sport two watches... Of course, we all know about the famous Mr. Hayak of Swatch Group who wore more than 2.. and I've heard of people wearing two mechanical watches, but what I wanted to do is stop carrying my iPhone around as much and try to rely more on an Apple Watch ... I'd never owned one and always told myself I never would as I love mechanical watches.. but I have been doing this for two days now and frankly, it's working for me... yes, it looks sort of odd, but I've never been one to care what people think (with in reason)..

Thoughts? Anyone else done this?

Of course with this being WUS public forum, I'm expecting some serious flaming but I've donned my Nomex suit, so speak your mind..

I double wrist...I have done so with an Apple Watch as well. I do what I want.

I don’t but my wife has done it many times…one wrist a Garmin venu and on the other one of the Midos I gifted her. She feels comfortable that way, most of the time is one or the other, but some others goes that way. She exercises a lot and likes to track her heartbeat and so…

well, it's my first experience with a smart watch and while I find it a bit clunky to work with, and my OCD goes nuts with the fingerprints.. I definitely can see keeping my iPhone behind a lot more now.. I think while it's not as stylish as I'd like, from a purely utility stand point, it makes sense.

I work with computers all day. I hate smartwatches, smartbands and even smartphones (but of course I have one, I'm not a hermit). I don't wanna see a damn screen after 5PM (unless lurking in some niche hobby forum and stuff like that). Also, I'm the "less is more" camp when it comes to fashion and accessories, but that's me. In any case, since you're asking... Hard no.

This should be the way the evolution goes. Small smart display on a strap or bracelet.

I'm a geek for all tech devices and have toyed with the idea of a smart watch but ultimately I just don't see any real need for one (I do wear a sports watch with GPS for running) and I WILL NOT go two wrist wearing :D

Well I’m not that active, but if I was, it makes sense. One is just a hobby that’s already turning into a niche while the other is pushing itself as a necessity in today’s times.

Why not?

There's a saying that goes "a man with 2 watches never knows what time it is". A guy wearing two watches told me this back in to 80s.

Hopefully, I don't have to explain this, but for those in the back - this is based on the assumption that the two watches will never be perfectly synchronized so you will always be presented with slightly different time readings so you will always question which one is correct. With one watch, there are no conflicts so you will "know" the time even if it is incorrect.

Unfortunately, Apple watches and radio/satellite watches kind of kill this saying [emoji53].
