I had a Squale 30 Atmos Horizon and NOS Tiger, and I currently own a Doxa SUB 1200T and Jenny Caribbean 300. I have to say that the quality of the Squale 30 Atmos was pretty high. It ran +3 seconds out of the box and the case and bracelet had nice machining, and the glossy black dial was a treat. My only gripe the 30 Atmos was the bezel. The bezel edge looked too blingy and cheap; it did not provide adequate grip.

The DOXA SUB and its sister Jenny Caribbean are well made, no-nonsense, tool watches. Both run between +5-8 seconds per day, and their bezels are great. The Jenny bezel is encased in sapphire while the teeth on the Doxa's bezel are exceptional. The Doxa has the best grip I've ever felt and both bezels feel crisp and precise when turning. In terms of comfort, the new bracelet on the Doxa beats the Jenny, which uses the older style BOR bracelet, and both Squale's. However, the clasp on the Squale 30 Atmos is by far superior to the Doxa and Jenny. Also, the new Doxa bracelet might be too blingy for some. I've read about some QC issues regarding the DOXA, mainly about the application of lume and paint on the hands, but both the Jenny and Doxa came just fine. The black paint used on the Doxa's hands are downright glossy, and the lume on both watches is evenly applied. The SUB is far and away the most comfortable to wear if you have smaller wrists like me (7 inches). The short lug-to-lug makes a big difference. I'm not 100% sure but I think the 50 Atmos is a bit taller than the SUB.

If history factors into your equation, then you can't go wrong with either one. I don't know what your intended use is, but both manufacturers provide watches that can take a beating. As usual, it comes down to your own personal preference.
