Around the time that Georges Ducommun was putting the finishing touches on his soon-to-be world famous 8-day movement, the Societa Anonima Moto Guzzi was establishing itself at Mandello del Lario with the goal of creating and selling motorcycles. DOXA’s 8-day movement was the result of Georges’s refusal to accept what was ordinary, and making something unique. Carlo Guzzi was a motorcycling enthusiast who was also looking for something better than what was available. So along with the Parodi’s (a father and son), and later with the help of the blacksmith – Giorgio Ripamonti, the G.P. or Guzzi-Parodi was born, later to be assume its present name, Moto Guzzi.

Like DOXA, Moto Guzzi enjoys a rich history of innovation. And like Motto Guzzi, we at DOXA have never lost sight of our past, and the beauty of our mechanical achievements.

Although our recent history is widely associated with diving, DOXA first made headlines in the early 1900s through our participation in the early days of auto racing. We are very pleased to revive this exciting era in DOXA’s past with our up-coming participation in the Moto Guzzi Demo Day at STEELHORSE CLASSIC.

Come and see some of the DOXA collection in person! We will be demonstrating several pieces in our line at the Moto Guzzi Demo Day on Saturday, August 25th.

Like many of us, Mike Warner (owner of STEELHORSE CLASSICS) is passionate about motorcycles, cars and watches, and this passion is borne out in the fine reputation he and his team have achieved in such a short time.

We invite you to come down for food, drink and talk about motorcycles and watches.

For more information about the Moto Guzzi Demo Day, please visit the STEELHORSE CLASSICS web site at:
