This Certina DS Action looks fantastic in real life; it has a really deep, rich black dial that looks very expensive and well-made. Its a definite affordable Rolex alternative. At 38mm wide and 12mm thick its a perfect size for a "dress diver". Looks like you can get it for around £700.00.

Although they have bezel markings, Christopher Ward have some quite dressy looking dive watches in their lineup.
Beat me to it -- I don't own any, but definitely admire some of the nice refined details they have all around. Their divers aren't just a chunk of steel. C65 example that has some minimal bezel markings:

Seiko SPB239 on an Uncle bracelet is my go-to for dress diver duty. I know it has markings, but the brushed finish of the bezel insert, combined with the 39mm size make the markings subdued. The whole package can be had for <$1000 US.

in the less-complicated bezel category, Doxa Sub 200 is right around your limit. Zodiac Super Sea Wolf, gently used or grey market, is another nice one.

Another category some people have flagged are compressor-style dive watches with an internal rotating bezel. Examples near your price range - multiple Farer divers, Christopher Ward C65 super compressor, Alpina Seastrong Heritage, all in your price range gently used, on the high side new but not too far off.

Hey all,

Could you please help with your suggestions for a dive / pilot watch with minimal / no marking rotating bezel?

I'd like something smart-ish with the convenience of a bezel for timing things but without the sporting look, so it's a little under the radar, if that makes sense!

Similar in design to the Breitling Superocean Heritage.

Date complication and budget £1000

Thanks in advance
