Not something I would normally do at all but the wine was very nice last night and a bit of whiskey once it ran out - was just leisurely surfing the net and I found something on the Oceanic Time site that I had almost forgotten about:

Watch Analog watch Watch accessory Fashion accessory Orange

Figured they had long sold out but apparently not clickity click and that was that - apparently I'm pretty good at drunken shopping as I was quite pleased with my decision come the morning. Best part is they ship end of November so the wait is going to be short.

Looks like a sweet piece - 50th anniversary watch for my 40th birthday looking forward to getting it in for sure.

I'm sure a few of you have been there before hey it happens...

Nice pick up. You could do a lot worse while under the influence.

Are you a Dirk Pitt fan, perchance?

I know what you mean about sipping wine and surfing. I try to stop when the bottle's empty, but sometimes I just need a bit more...

Nice! Great watch. I've owned my 1000T for over 8 years now - and loved every second its been on my wrist. The true beads of rice bracelet is going to be fantastic - I've come close to buying one myself.

I drink to make other people more interesting.

I haven't bought a watch while under the influence of mind altering substances. What is that called? SUI -- shopping under the influence? LOL I have, to my regret, mixed wine and whiskey and I won't do that again. LOL

Some informative content re: drinking:

I'm not aware of any studies about the affects of alcohol on shopping. I do, however, have the anecdotal evidence provided in this thread's OP, which suggests to me that I am well served to learn vicariously from the deeds of others and "just say no." LOL

All the best.

A lady came up to me one day and said "Sir! You are drunk," to which I replied "I am drunk today madam, and tomorrow I shall be sober, but you will still be ugly."

BTW, OP. Nice watch. I hope you enjoy it as much in sobriety as your bibulous brain thought you would.

All the best.
