Dubai Watch Week returns for the second year on November 15th to 19th, and this time it is expected to showcase more than 30 brands, four exhibitions, several master watchmaking classes, and interesting panel discussions. The Watchuseek team will be on hand to bring you the latest news, interviews, and event coverage from Dubai.

Richemont group is represented well by IWC, Panerai, Baume & Mercier, and Vacheron Constantin.  There is a diverse mix of independent brands like H. Moser, HYT, Bulgari, Christian Vander Klaaw, MB&F, Emmanuel Bouchet, and Romain Jerome.

As part of horology education, the popular master watchmaker classes will be offered again.  This year Vianney Halter, Antoine Preziuso, Andreas Strehler, Kurt Klaus (IWC), and Adriano Toninelli (Panerai) have scheduled sessions through the entire week.

DWW brings an interesting platform for panel discussion and audience interaction which is not present at this scale in most of the watch events around the globe (except for Tempus event in Singapore, which makes a return next year).  Some of the topics include: Evolution of a brand, Challenges of a retailer, Design and Creativity, Smart Watches, Starting your own brand, and The power of influence.  Panel members are subject matter experts and bring their unique perspective from various parts of the world.

Finally, the following exhibitions will take place during the DWW at Dubai Mall and Dubai Internal Financial Center:

The Mastery of Time - Curated in partnership with Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), The Mastery of Time is a fascinating retrospective display of significant timepieces through the ages.

The GPHG 2016 – GPHG awards ceremony took place 3 days ago.  Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) exhibition will enable Dubai Watch Week attendees to discover the competition’s prize-winning models.

Horological Movements - Dubai Watch Week in partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons will be hosting a unique exhibition focusing on movements and complications. The objective of the exhibition is to highlight the beauty and intricacy involved in the creation of various renowned horological movements such as tourbillons, perpetual calendars and chronographs.

24 Hours In the Life of a Swiss Cuckoo Clock - An exhibition curated by Alexandra Midal, puts a contemporary spin on this iconic Swiss timekeeping emblem through 24 modern interpretations by students and staff at HEAD-Genève art school.

We are confident that with a serious collector community from the Middle East, we should also expect few get together with interesting vintage and modern watches.
