I have a Heuer 2000 chronograph (quartz) that, like the speedmaster reduced, uses the Dubois Depraz chrono module.

Its a module that no one can get parts for and no one wants to service. I'd pay to have it exchanged but no one can do that either.

I'm fed up with cruising forums and making enquiries and not getting anywhere. Can anyone help?

Is any watch that uses this module basically junk when it needs servicing.

Quick check on ebay, tons of DD auto models but not one quartz. Ditto for Chrono 24. Seems like a dead-end model. The only possible (and very unlikely) is to find a quartz chrono movement from ETA, Ronda or Japanese that match the DD movement (which will require either a technical drawing or the movement or precise measurements on your part).

Only the watch movement is quartz, the DD module is mechanical.

The DD module is the same as that used in mechanical Tag Heuer 2000s and the Speedmaster Reduced and many others. It is very common.

Plenty on chrono24

I misread the OP, didn't understand it was a DD module being sought. Please disregard earlier posting.

I may be rehashing earlier comments but it seems that if a replacement module could be found it would likely need a clean/lube to be usable based on the module's age.
