Quick check on ebay, tons of DD auto models but not one quartz. Ditto for Chrono 24. Seems like a dead-end model. The only possible (and very unlikely) is to find a quartz chrono movement from ETA, Ronda or Japanese that match the DD movement (which will require either a technical drawing or the movement or precise measurements on your part).

 

Only the watch movement is quartz, the DD module is mechanical.

The DD module is the same as that used in mechanical Tag Heuer 2000s and the Speedmaster Reduced and many others. It is very common.

Agree. Sometimes Chrono 24 vendors carry a decent selection of NOS stuff, but you have to use their search engine to hunt them down.

What did Tag tell you when you reached out?

 

They wanted £610 to service which is a bit of a joke considering their service centre guy didnt seem to know what a DD module was.

 

How is it junk when you have a viable service option? Seems to be more a case of wanting a cheaper option than there not being an option.

 

When the cost of a service is more than replacing the watch, its junk.

 

I misread the OP, didn't understand it was a DD module being sought. Please disregard earlier posting.

I may be rehashing earlier comments but it seems that if a replacement module could be found it would likely need a clean/lube to be usable based on the module's age.

 

I already have a DD module that requires servicing, why would I buy a secondhand one that's the same or no better?

 

Option 1. Send it to TAG for service
Option 2. Buy another one
Option 3. Sell yours for a couple hundred bucks

Seems like your options are pretty clear to me.
